Langston Football Wins Homecoming in Overtime (watch here)

On October 22, 2022, the Final Play of Langston University’s Football team gots them the win in overtime. The score ended 44-38 against Ottawa-Arizona.

Ending the 4th Quarter, the score was tied 38-38. Ivory Wilwright scored the last points with the help of a 23-yard pass from Larry Harrington.

Khylan Mosley led the defensive side with nine tackles. The Langston Football team made many strategies to get this win. One being stopping the opposing team from running the ball and forcing them to pass. This puts a lot of pressure and trust on the defensive backs.

Sophomore Khylan Moseley, #8 said “There was no doubt in my
mind about winning our homecoming game.”

Playing in a big game with a big crowd can usually cause a
lot of anxiety and pressure. That wasn’t a problem for Moseley. “I did not feel any pressure from the crowd while being on the field. Once I am locked in, the crowd is the least of my concerns.”

The team worked to keep each other motivated on and off the field. Moseley’s main motivation came from the team, but his dad came to support him Saturday as well.
